You pay for the work your VMs need.

Each VM lands in a tier from its findings, and each tier has one price. A clean VM moves at the Lift rate. The higher rates apply only to the VMs whose findings call for the work.

Is Proxmox VE ready for production?
Yes. Proxmox VE is built on KVM and LXC and ships live migration, high availability, clustering, snapshots and integrated backup. It runs the same guest operating systems your VMware VMs run today.
Will there be downtime?
A short, planned window per wave. Each VM has to boot and reach the network before the next wave starts. Your assessment includes the wave plan, so you know what moves when.
What about RDMs, passthrough and Fault Tolerance?
They’re flagged as blockers and scoped as “Surgical” work, with the remediation agreed before anyone starts. Remediation is its own line on the quote, so a hard VM never hides inside an average.
Do we need new hardware?
Not necessarily. Proxmox VE runs on standard x86 servers, often on the same hosts after migration. Any hardware you do need sits on the excluded list, so the fixed price stays fixed.
What's RVTools, and is it safe to share?
Yes, it’s read-only. RVTools is a free VMware utility that exports your inventory to a spreadsheet and changes nothing. You send the .xlsx, and nobody needs access to your vCenter.
What if our environment changes after the quote?
Send a fresh export and the assessment runs again on the same rules, so the updated quote arrives with nothing to renegotiate.
